Q: Where are you from?
A: Originally Buffalo, NY. I’ve been in Florida for 19 years.
Q: How long have you been working at the NOC?
A: 4 ½ years
Q: What were you doing before the NOC?
A: I was an office manager for a property management company. There, I maintained the phone system on the users end that The NOC had installed.
Q: What attracted you to the NOC?
A: The professional vendor/client relationship that developed when I was a client of the NOC.
Q: How has your perception changed or developed since you’ve learned more about the tech industry?
A: In the tech industry, there’s someone working 24/7. It’s something I never thought about at my prior job when I left to go home on a Friday. There’s always someone making sure everything is running correctly, taking emergency calls and possibly being pulled away from their loved ones.
Q: What’s the most valuable thing you’ve learned being in the tech field?
A: You need to notate all the work you have done so someone else can always step in and take over if you’re unavailable. Not all issues can wait.
Q: What do you enjoy most about working in tech?
A: I enjoy the extremely brilliant team that I get the privilege of working with. I am constantly learning something new.

Q: If you could give the general public one piece of advice regarding technology, what would it be?
A: Don’t be afraid of it, jump in and try. Stay up to date if you can, it makes it easier.
